About the Artist

Aidan Palmer is a self-taught potter from the Green Mountains of Vermont.
Inspired throughout her life by the beauty of the natural world and with a love of working with her hands, she transitioned to pottery after graduating her homeschooled high school. Her education since then has been completely self-designed and each of her pieces is developed through creativity, determination, and a lot of trial-and-error. In addition to creating pottery, Aidan has a deep knowledge of ceramic chemistry. She has developed her own method of producing clay from scratch, and every piece begins with this hand-made and designed porcelain. She also designs her own glazes, from simple glossy ones to wild crystalline glazes. For Aidan, creating pottery is about sharing the joy and beauty of life through a functional piece of art. |
